NASCAR Canada Pinty’s Series Set to Air On MAVTV

Canada’s  premier stock car racing series will make its USA and Canadian series debut on MAVTV on Tuesday, October 3 at 12:00pm ET. Re-air of the 1-hour telecast will be the same day at 10:00pm ET.  Since its debut in 2007, the NASCAR Pinty’s Series has built a strong following among Canadian racing fans as the nation’s top professional motorsports series.

Featuring Canada’s elite racers and  teams competing at the country’s top stock car ovals, road courses and motorsports events, the NASCAR Pinty’s Series is the pinnacle of racing in Canada. In October – for the first time ever – American racing fans will also be able to experience the excitement of this incredibly competitive series when it begins airing both in the US and Canada on MAVTV.

Within weeks of the series crowning its champion, on September 23 at Ontario’s all-new Jukasa Motor Speedway, MAVTV will commence broadcasting the tour’s 13 races over the course of 12 consecutive weeks.

Based in Corona, California, MAVTV is carried in 30 million US households and offers an unparalleled line-up of exclusive motorsports, including The Chili Bowl and the AMA Pro Motocross series.

The NASCAR Pinty’s Series shows are produced by Fuel MediaLab and TSN, with events broadcast throughout the season on TSN and RDS2.

“Pinty’s is very pleased to be associated with MAVTV and its unique and authentic programming,” said Tony Spiteri, VP Marketing/R&D for Pinty’s Delicious Foods. “We have much in common with our target audiences and we’re looking forward to a mutually beneficial partnership.”

The concept of putting Canada’s top stock car series on the air in the US isn’t new. The CASCAR Super Series was the predecessor to the NASCAR Pinty’s Series and those races had a huge following, in the US, when they aired following the conclusion of the NASCAR Cup Series season.

“When our CASCAR races previously aired in America, we gained a lot of fans who were hungry for our brand of Canadian short track and road racing events,” said NPS TV producer Joel Robinson, of Fuel MediaLab. “The NASCAR Pinty’s Series showcases the same professional, talented and aggressive driving so we’re confident it will once again strike a chord with American racing fans when it airs on MAVTV.”

The 13-race NASCAR Pinty’s Series consists of 12 shows. Nine of the broadcasts will be 60 minutes in length, while three will be 90 minutes long. For information, contact Joel Robinson at [email protected].
