Jarett Andretti to be Special Guest at Prestigious New Albany Classic

Andretti Autosport Short Track announced today that the team and its driver Jarett Andretti will be a part of the New Albany Classic Invitational Grand Prix and Family Day in New Albany, Ohio on Sunday, September 24.

Celebrating its 20th year of raising funds for the work of The Center for Family Safety and Healing, the event is pulling out all the stops to make a memorable day for families. This not-to-be-missed fall tradition is expected to draw more than 15,000 guests of all ages to the home of Abigail and Les Wexner.

Since Abigail Wexner founded the event in 1998, more than $30 million has been raised to support the important work of The Center for Family Safety and Healing through event sponsors and ticket purchasers.

“The Classic celebrates healthy families while generating support for others whose lives have been impacted by violence,” said Abigail Wexner, event founder and host. “To see families come back year after year to enjoy the event with their loved ones and so generously support The Center for Family Safety and Healing demonstrates that central Ohio believes in the importance of this work.”

Andretti Autosport Short Track and Jarett Andretti will be on-site featuring their No. 18 sprint car. Andretti will sign autographs, take photos and take part in meet-and-greet functions with the thousands in attendance while taking in the festivities. It will be his first time at The Classic.

“I’m honored to be invited to this world-class event to help raise funds for The Center for Family Safety and Healing,” said Andretti. “This is a great way to not only support a great cause, but also showcase our race program to the thousands in attendance. This is a new audience to learn more about Andretti Autosport Short Track as we continue to grow off the track with exciting opportunities. I have to thank the Wexner family for inviting us to such a special day.”

The daylong family festival includes a variety of activities that entertain all ages. In addition to farm tours, festival activities, strolling performers, food trucks, sports experiences and hands-on activities, the event showcases some of the world’s best equestrian competitors. 30 leading riders and their mounts will take to the John G. McCoy Show Field at 12:00 p.m. to compete for $125,000 in what has been named North America’s #1 Specialty Equestrian Event for four years running.

The Concert at The Classic draws music fans from throughout the Midwest and this year should draw at capacity crowds for the highly anticipated performance by Nick Jonas.

The event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET.
