Spencer Davis Travels to Familiar Ground in ARCA’s Return to Iowa Speedway

After several weeks away from the track eighteen-year old Spencer Davis will return to Venturini Motorsports’ driver lineup for tomorrow night’s ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards ‘Fans with Benefits 150’ at Iowa Speedway.

Davis, set to make his fourth career series start since joining the team in May, will unveil his No.25 Pinty’s Toyota Camry this weekend when the team unloads at Iowa.

With first time series starts at Talladega, Pocono and Michigan, Davis will use familiarity with Iowa Speedway to his advantage.

“I’m excited to return to a track I’ve seen before,” says Davis. “I’ve been to Iowa twice in the past with the NASCAR K&N East Series. I’ve finished second and seventh. It’s definitely a track I like and can draw on past experiences to help gain advantage here in the ARCA Series.”

“This place (Iowa Speedway) fits my driving style. It might sound crazy but Iowa reminds me a lot of a dirt track. The track takes on a ton of rubber and changes throughout the race just like racing on dirt.”

Showing speed and adapting to his new series surroundings, Davis believes his prior experience sets the table for another successful weekend.

“This will be my fourth race with Venturini. Each race we’ve been really fast – almost won at Talladega and been really competitive everywhere else. I’ve had a lot of fun. It’s a great organization. I’m back with the twenty-five team and crew chief Dave Leiner at Iowa. Dave and I really click. I’ve got a ton of trust in these guys and confident we’ll be among the top cars going after the W on Saturday night.”

In just three ARCA starts Davis has two top-10 finishes highlighted by a third-place finish at Talladega. After Iowa, Davis will look ahead to Lucas Oil Raceway, Kentucky Speedway and the series finale at Kansas Speedway on October 20.
