Chase Cabre, Tampa, Florida native, captured his first-career 21 Means 21 Pole on Saturday at South Boston Speedway. In his fourth NASCAR K&N Pro Series East start, Cabre, the driver of the No. 4 Lincoln Electric Toyota, broke the track record with a lap of 14.711 seconds to sit on the pole for the WhosYourDriver.org Twin 100s. Cabre also earned the right to sit on the pole in the second race after having turned the fastest lap in the first Twin 100. The previous record was held by Danville, Virginia’s Peyton Sellers, who clocked a 15.582 second lap in June 2007.
Cabre also earned his first top-5 and top-10 of his K&N Pro Series East career, with a 4th and 7th place finish. Cabre is currently sitting 7th place in point standings.
Cabre was not the only NASCAR Drive for Diversity driver that had a successful weekend at South Boston Speedway.
Rubén García Jr. (No. 6 NTI/MSI): García started 7th and finished 6th in the first race. He then started 7th and finished 5th in the second Twin 100. García is currently 3rd in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East overall point standings.
Jay Beasley (No. 42 Max Siegel Inc.Toyota): Beasley started in the back of the field in the first and second Twin and worked his way to a 8th and 10th place finish. Beasley is currently 8th in point standings.
Collin Cabre (No. 2 UTI/NTI Toyota): Cabre started 11th and finished right outside the top-10 in the first race. In the second race, Cabre blew a right front tire and collided with the wall, making him unable to finish the second Twin.
All Rev Racing drivers will head back to the track on June 3 at Memphis International Raceway for the Memphis 125.
