50th Euro-NASCAR car produced by Team FJ !

Eight years after the first car left Team FJ headquarters in Blois, France to launch the first NASCAR Series outside North America, the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series reached an historic milestone on February 15th, 2017 when the 50th car produced by the French manufacturer was delivered to MishuMotors, a new German team based in Wiesbaden joining the NWES grid in 2017.

Thanks to its unmatched handling characteristics, the Euro-NASCAR quickly surged to be one of the most appreciated race cars in Europe. It seduced every kind of driver, from the beginners to the world’s greatest as testified by seven consecutive selections for the Race Of Champions. Its 400 horsepower – delivered by a thunderous 5.7-liter V8 – for only 1200 kg, paired with a very responsive chassis provide huge entertainment for both drivers and fans. Very reliable and faster than most TCR and GT4 cars, the Euro NASCAR cars definitely offer, thanks also to a selling price of 69.000 €, the best value for money rate on the race car market.

“This is an amazing adventure, a quest to provide pure racing experience to drivers and fans !” said NWES and Team FJ President CEO Jerome Galpin “Our cars are loved by drivers looking for real driving sensations and fans craving for close races ! They are also great to develop drivers for a NASCAR career of course, but also for every type of championships : GT, prototypes series … All cars are the same, so parity is 100% and only the driver and the team’s skills make the difference, this is the guarantee of great and spectacular races ! “

The pure racing experience granted by the NWES cars and the chance to pursue a career in NASCAR attracts every year more and more drivers eager to battle on track for the European NASCAR crown for the delight of tens of thousands of fans.

The recipient of the 50th NWES car ever built is a well known driver who raced in IMSA and Le Mans Series: Mirco Schultis. He and his teammate Renger Van Der Zande discovered the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series by racing in the 2016 Zolder Finals and they both immediately fell in love with the car and the Series. Team MishuMotors made its debut with the new car at the Franciacorta Prologue on March 3 and will field two cars in the upcoming NWES season, becoming the first German team to enter the Series. Team Owner Mirco Schultis is looking forward to climb the learning curve as quickly as possible.

“It is a special milestone for NWES but it is pretty special for us too to be part of this achievement. It adds even more enthusiasm to our new adventure in this championship,” said Schultis. “We went to Zolder last year I saw the people, their smiles, I felt part of the event, I raced the car and I immediately loved it! It is pure fun to drive the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series car and we can’t wait to put this special one on track.”

The 2017 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season will start with the third edition of the Valencia NASCAR Fest on April 8-9 and all the races will be broadcasted live on Fanschoice.tv and on the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series Facebook page.
