Kobe Motor and Cloud Sport organise Copa Kobe Toyota online

Madrid-based startup Cloud Sport continue their commitment to official simracing championships, and in 2017 they join forces with Kobe Motor to organise, for the first time, the Copa Kobe Toyota online rallies. It is a virtual competition held in parallel to the Copa Kobe Motor, in its third edition this year, and both were presented at the Kobe Motor dealership in Majadahonda on Friday, February 24th.

The Copa Kobe Toyota online will take place over three different rallies, each with six timed stages. The first race will be the Rally Circuito de Navarra online -on March 26th- followed by the Rally Terra da Auga online -on May 21st- and the June 25th Rally Madrid Kobe online.

The winner will have the opportunity to drive a Toyota Aygo from the Copa Kobe Motor in a rally in the Campeonato de Tierra de Madrid competition. For the second and third placed drivers, the prize will be a driving experience with a Toyota Aygo on a dirt track.

The Kobe Toyota Cup online is the third official championship organised by Cloud Sport, after the SEAT Leon Eurocup online and the Road to Vegas (organised together with SEAT Sport and Formula E, respectively). The startup continues to grow and has recently carried out a capitalisation process with partners from the financial, technology, health, automotive and professional sports sectors.

For Luis Pachón, CEO and founder of Cloud Sport, the project with Kobe Motor is “one more step on the road to professionalising simracing.” After the experience of 2016, Pachón points out that “the possibilities for online competitions are practically endless and the Copa Kobe Toyota online is an example of the options that exist besides circuits.” Offering real prizes is “a very important incentive for the participants, who see in online competitions a chance to fulfill their dream: To compete in real competitions.”

For Alberto Dorsch, organizer of the Copa Kobe Motor, the union with Cloud Sport will allow Kobe Motor “to continue their commitment to motorsport, reaching all the fans who, from home, can experience driving a Copa Kobe Aygo, both virtually and in real life if they manage to win the championship.”

The requirements to participate in the Copa Kobe Toyota online are possession of pedals and a steering wheel. Registration, which is free, will open the 10th of March and run through to Copa Kobe Toyota online website.
