Mason Mitchell Opens Season with Charity Event for 300 Below

With all of the attention surrounding the season opening Lucas Oil Complete Engine Treatment 200 at the Daytona International Speedway(DIS) for the ARCA Racing Series, 2014 ARCA champion Mason Mitchell kicked off his season two weeks ago, in Illinois to participate in a charity event hosted by 300 Below Inc.

“It was great to be able to spend the day with the folks from 300 below as well as meet with race fans for a good cause,” Mitchell stated.”

Earlier in the day Mitchell took a tour of the 300 below plant and saw their Cryogenic process in work. From their Mitchell raced on adult big wheels with employees. Mitchell capped off the day with a charity  event benefiting Macon Resources of Decatur and meeting with race fans of all ages.

“Being part of events like this is what being a driver is all about. Without the support of our fans we wouldn’t be able to live out our dreams and race for a living.”

Mitchell also had his brake rotors for MMM cryogenically treated and engineers expect to get four times the life out of those rotors.

“Seeing Mason interact with kids that are racing fans is a humbling experience.  He truly loves racing and loves kids,” said Pete Paulin CEO of 300 Below Inc.

“Mason wanted to understand science behind why his brake rotors will last four times longer and dissipate heat faster after treatment. We were able to show him our process first hand.”

Mitchell will be calling the shots on top of the pit-box next week for the No. 78 Chevrolet driven by Kyle Weatherman.

The Lucas Oil Complete Engine Treatment 200 kicks off with a two-hour practice next Thursday February 16th from 4:00-6:00pm.
