Back Again GREE And Bosch Add Kentucky Speedway To Gus Dean’s ARCA Schedule

Hungry for their second ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards win of the season and continuing to be impressed with Bluffton, South Carolina native’s Gus Dean transition to the series, GREE, the world’s largest world’s largest manufacturer of specialized Cooling & Heating Products has added next Friday night’s Crosley Brands 150 at Kentucky Speedway to his schedule.

Additionally, GREE has once again brought the support of Bosch joining Dean as he returns to Mason Mitchell Motorsports for the penultimate ARCA Racing Series race of the season aboard the No. 98 GREE / Bosch Chevrolet SS.

The combo debuted with the avid short track racer at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway last month.

“I’m stoked to be back with Mason Mitchell Motorsports and to have the support of GREE and Bosch for Kentucky Speedway,” said Dean. “It’s because of Dave (Pearson) that I’m able to continue to live my dream of racing cars at tracks I’d never imagined I would compete at. Hopefully, the test will be a success and we can have a good showing under the Friday night lights.”

To prepare the South Carolinian for his debut in the Blue Grass state, the team synced with crew chief and three-time series winner Mason Mitchell will participate in the open-test at the 1.5-mile facility on Tuesday, Sept. 20.

“Mason (Mitchell, team owner) seems confident that we’re going to be exceptional at the test,” sounded Dean. “He says he has a lot of ideas and he is very confident about the car we are bringing and the chances we have for the race. The track is still relatively new with the repaved surface – but we’re hoping that we can find a strong comfort zone to have some good solid speed and then have an exceptional race. I can’t wait to get going.”

Bosch home appliances is part of BSH Home Appliances Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of BSH Hausgeräte GmbH, based in Munich, Germany. As part of the largest manufacturer of home appliances in Europe, and one of the leading companies in the sector worldwide, Bosch has been selling high performance German-engineered appliances in the United States since 1991.

Known nationwide for raising the standards in quietness, efficiency and design for appliances, Bosch frequently receives top ratings in leading consumer publications and received awards from ENERGY STAR for eight consecutive years, from 2007-2014. With U.S. headquarters in Irvine, Calif., the company also operates manufacturing facilities in La Follette, Tenn. and in New Bern, N.C., housing state-of-the-art factories for dishwashers, ranges, ovens and cooktops.

Together, GREE and Bosch turn to Dean, the 21-year-old rising star hoping he can deliver his second career ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards victory in just his sixth career start. In May, Dean scored his first career victory in just his second career start in a nail-biting finish.

And while Kentucky Speedway is no restrictor plate venue, Dean knows his Mason Mitchell Motorsports team is bringing him a car capable of producing a similar type result he had in April’s General Tire 200.

“Even though I was on the track last month at Pocono, it feels like an eternity,” added Dean. “We’ve had a great year and even though Pocono didn’t turn out like we liked, we still were able to overcome our hiccups and finish inside the top-15. Next Friday night, we want to get ourselves another win and see if that’s enough to sail us into Kansas to run in the season finale.”

GREE will be joined by its master distributor for the US market, Tradewinds Climate Systems, as well as a number of their regional wholesalers, salespeople, and most importantly, fellow race fans. The company, which ranked 385th in Forbes’ Global 2000 possesses 18,000 active patents for products sold in 160 countries.

“We’re delighted to have our longtime partner Bosch once again partner with us and Gus (Dean) at Kentucky Speedway next weekend,” offered Tradewinds Climate Systems president Dave Pearson. “We all continue to be impressed with Gus’s driving capabilities as well his desire to stand up and fight through adversity. He has not only become a tremendous role model and spokesperson for GREE, but we know as a very talented and gifted driver too. We’re excited to get to Kentucky and see the results first hand.”

2014 ARCA Racing Series champion Mason Mitchell will serve as crew chief for Dean on Sept. 23. Mitchell held the same role in the team’s triumph at Talladega in April. NASCAR XFINITY Series spotter Ford Martin, son of NASCAR veteran Gil Martin will guide Dean in his Kentucky Speedway debut.

Dean is expected to carry the GREE on-board camera for the 100-lap event on Fri., Sept 23. The Crosley Brands 150 will be aired live on FOX Sports 2 (FS2) beginning at 8:00 p.m.

Before Dean shifts his concentration to Kentucky, he’ll compete in Saturday night’s CARS Tour event at Myrtle Beach (S.C.) Speedway, where Dean will pilot the No. 56 Baker Distributing / GREE Chevrolet in the BakerDist.com Honeywell 200 presented by 100.3 The Team in a car fielded by Dean Racing.

“Myrtle Beach is a big race for us because our partner BAKER Distributing is sponsoring the race,” added Dean. “So there’s pressure on me to perform, because I want them to realize how much their support means to not only me, but my team too. I know my crew chief Petey (Hinson) is bringing me a good car and we’ll see what we can do when the green flag waves.”
