K&N East Point Leader Justin Haley Ready for Dirt Experience with Mason Mitchell Motorsports in the SuperChevystores.com 100

NASCAR K&N Pro Series East points leader Justin Haley will be behind the wheel of the No. 98 Chevrolet for Mason Mitchell Motorsports this weekend at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in the SuperChevyStores.com 100.

“I feel like racing on some of the bigger tracks in Trucks and ARCA will help with the learning process this weekend,” Haley added. “The previous dirt experience I’ve had in my career has been on short tracks in light mini sprints with a lot of horsepower, much different then what I’ll experience this weekend in a full body stock car. I do believe having the feel for the dirt will help.”

“Even though I’ve never been able to run with MMM before the Mitchell family has always been extremely nice to me at the track and I respect what Mason has accomplished with his operation.”

“I feel like I’ve accomplished a lot in the ARCA Series  but that first win is still just hanging over my head. It would be cool to power the 98 car to victory lane this weekend in my debut with Mason Mitchell Motorsports!”

The 17-year-old Haley has two wins in the K&N Pro Series East so far in the 2016 season winning at Greenville Pickens and again at the Columbus Motor Speedway. While Haley hasn’t been to victory lane in the ARCA Racing Series he’s been close, finishing runner-up this spring at the Salem Speedway.

Haley has become one of the most versatile drivers racing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, K&N, ARCA, super late models and racing in the Trans-Am Series.

Last weekend Haley finished third in the Trans-Am TA2 race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Complex. He also holds the record for youngest pole winner in ARCA capturing the pole at the Elko Speedway in 2014 at just 15-years-old.

Chassis Information: Haley will be behind the wheel of chassis No. 589. The chassis last raced in June at the Winchester Speedway and finished third with Kyle Weatherman behind the wheel. The chassis has 13 starts earning one win (Iowa), 10 top-five’s, and 11 top-ten finishes
