Steve Fox Endures Pocono

Steve Fox and his crew have been working really hard in the shop on their Universe Towing & Autobody Chevy Impala SS that replaced the Dodge that they lost during a crash in practice for the June ARCA event at Pocono International Raceway. Since, Fox was offered a ride by Wayne Hixon to compete in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards ModSpace 150. Although Fox had some struggles with the car, he advanced and then his day ended with a 25th place finish.

“We missed all of practice due to a rear gear problem”, said Fox as he recapped the day. “Wayne, Crystal and the whole crew worked non stop to get me out on track, I can’t thank them enough !”

“We changed it out and things looked OK, but then we missed Qualifying due to a stuck shifter and were forced to take a provisional”.

Fox started at the back of the field and began to climb toward the front. He got as high as 20th and the rear end failed again, which ended Fox’s good run with a flume of smoke.

Although it’s not the finish that the team anticipated, it brings to a close a very difficult 2016 at Steve’s home track, Pocono Raceway.  Fox and the Norm Hutton Racing Fusion will be back in action at Daytona in February of 2017 ready to improve on their debut performance of 20th.
