Entry Deadline fast approaching for Kyle Larson’s Outlaw Kart Showcase

With two months remaining until the second annual Kyle Larson’s Outlaw Kart Showcase Presented by ParkerStore, the entry list continues to grow for the largest event in outlaw kart racing.

“I’m starting to get really excited as the race gets closer” said Larson, who will again compete in the event. “Last year’s race had an overwhelming response from the drivers and the fans, and it should be another huge event again this year with $6,000 going to the winner.”

Among the prominent early entries is Tanner Carrick, from Lincoln, Calif. Carrick is the current point leader at Cycleland Speedway, the 1/6-mile clay oval race track that is home to the Outlaw Kart Showcase in Chico, Calif. In seven races contested this season at Cycleland he has not yet finished outside the top 10, with four runner-up finishes highlighting his slate.

“I made the A-main last year, and with the competition level at the Showcase, it wasn’t easy” said 14 year-old Carrick. “But with the consistency we’ve had this year I would love to take home the win, and I think we can. I want to get to where Kyle’s at some day and a win in the Showcase would be great for anyone’s resume”.

Deadline for early entries is July 15 for the discounted $100 fee for the Open Division, and $50 fee for the Box Stock and 250 Intermediate Divisions. Entries postmarked after July 15 increase to $125 and $75 respectively. Entries will not be accepted that are postmarked after August 1st or at the gate.
