Field Chases Partridge As Series Returns To Quarter-Mile

A new winner will be celebrating in Victory Lane at Idaho’s Stateline Speedway. And for the top eight NASCAR K&N Pro Series West champion contenders, a win could propel them back into championship contention. Or, in Ryan Partridge’s case, further cement his points lead.

The series returns to the quarter-mile track in Post Falls, Idaho, Saturday for the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150. For the past two seasons, Partridge’s former Sunrise Ford Racing teammate James Bickford has earned the victory – recording his first career win in his seventh start in 2014 and collecting his first 21 Means 21 Pole Award en route to his second career win.

Partridge recently took the top spot in the standings from Todd Gilliland on the strength of his fifth top-five finish in six races. Last year at Stateline, the 28-year-old from Rancho Cucamonga, California, finished fourth.

Bill McAnally Racing teammates Chris Eggleston and Todd Gilliland are second and third in the standings, respectively. They will both be looking to bounce back after some bad luck at California’s Sonoma Raceway. This will be Gilliland’s, 17, first K&N Pro Series West start at the short track, while Eggleston, 25, finished 11th last year.

Jefferson Pitts Racing duo Noah Gragson and Gracin Raz finished second and third, respectively, last year at Stateline. They’re third and fourth in the standings as well, part of a pack of drivers that includes Bill McAnally Racing trio Julia Landauer, Cole Rouse and Riley Herbst who are all within 24 points of third.
