Mason Mitchell Looks to Defend Iowa Speedway Crown with Support from Karl Chevrolet

Mason Mitchell Motorsports will continue their relationship with Karl Chevrolet for the 2016 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards season.

In 2015, Karl Chevrolet located in Anekey, Iowa sponsored 2014 ARCA champion and hometown driver Mason Mitchell for two races. Mitchell was able to wheel Karl Chevrolet into victory lane not once, but twice at the Iowa Speedway and the ARCA finale at Kansas.

Karl Chevrolet has been on MMM’s racecars all season long in 2016 and will sponsor Mason in three ARCA events beginning with the Casey’s General Stores 150 at the Iowa Speedway on July 9th.  Mitchell is the defending winner of the 150 lap event. They will also sponsor Mitchell at Chicagoland and the finale at the Kansas Speedway.

“I can’t begin to express what it means to have Karl Chevrolet step up in 2016,” Mitchell stated. “They helped our program a lot last year. It was great to be able to bring them to victory lane with us both times they came on the car in 2015 at Iowa and Kansas.

“They do a fantastic job supporting the local community and the racing community. I can’t wait to get back behind the wheel at Iowa.”

“In 2015 we were able to align a sponsorship with Mason Mitchell as he made the jump to Chevrolet prior to the Iowa ARCA race,” Carl Moyer explained. “Him being a hometown kid, the pieces seemed to fit perfect. Mason not only won in Iowa, but again in Kansas with us on the car and we couldn’t have been more proud of his success and representation of Karl Chevrolet. We wish his whole team the best this year and beyond!”

MMM’s already earned one win this season at the Talladega Superspeedway in May with Gus Dean.

After a demanding six week stretch for ARCA teams and drivers, the series will enjoy a rare off weekend in the summer to allow teams to prepare for the Casey’s General’s Stores 150 at the Iowa Speedway on July 9th. Teams will have two practice sessions, qualify and race. Fans will be able to watch the race live on Fox Sports 2 at 9:00 p.m. EST.
