Nicole Behar Set for ARCA Debut with Venturini Motorsports

Nicole Behar, one of twelve members named to the 2015 NASCAR Next Class, will make her ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards debut with Venturini Motorsports in this weekend’s Montgomery Ward Father’s Day 200 at Madison International Speedway on Sunday, June 19.

“I’m really excited and thankful for this opportunity,” said Behar. “This is a big step in my racing career. As a driver you always want to win. This weekend is no different. However, with this being my first series start I’m really focused on learning as much as possible and competing in all 200-laps.”

Behar, from Spokane, Washington, will drive Venturini Motorsports’ No.55 TRD Camry in her first series start with Billy Venturini serving as crew chief.

“I can’t think of a better team to make my first start with. These guys (Venturini Motorsports) have won three of the last four races at Madison. Knowing they’ve had so much success at this track gives me an extra layer of confidence.”

Behar will arrive in Madison early to help familiarize herself with the track prior to Sunday’s main event. “I’ve got a busy week. In addition to my normal routine of hitting the gym and preparing mentally, I plan on testing my K&N car on Wednesday. I’ll also be running the super late model race at Madison on Friday night. There’s no doubt in my mind the extra seat time will come into play for the ARCA race.”

Starting with go-karts, at the age of eight, Behar has moved up the ranks predominately touring the Northwest, competing in Baby Grands, Late Models and Super Late Model racing.

The 18 year-old driver competed in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West tour last season and was named the series most popular driver.

Behar is currently tied with Kenzie Ruston (former VMS driver) as the highest finishing female drivers in NASCAR K&N East and West competition. Ruston finished second in the K&N East tour while Behar finished second at Irwindale (Calif.) in a K&N West Series show.
