After a heart-wrenching late-race accident at Orange Show Speedway in San Bernardino, Calif., on May 21, which deprived Cole Rouse and Sunrise Ford Racing of a top-five finish, they are looking to rebound with a strong run at Colorado National Speedway in Decano this weekend.
Arkansas-native Rouse has had a good start to his NASCAR K&N Pro Series West (NKNPSW) career, earning three top-10 finishes in four starts this season. He currently sits sixth in the points standings.
“Orange Show was disappointing, but we have to move forward,” Rouse said. “These guys on the No. 6 Sunrise Ford Racing team work hard to get us to the front. We have continued to prove that we are a top-five team and can be a contender for wins, we just have to capitalize on that.”
The NKNPSW returns to the lightning-fast, 3/8-mile Colorado National Speedway on June 11 for the running of the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150. Rouse’s Sunrise Ford Racing teammate, Ryan Partridge, went to victory lane in last year’s race in Dacono.
