Runner-up at Jersey, Hessert Brings Momentum to Pocono

Tom Hessert, coming off a seasons best second place finish at New Jersey, will make his sixteenth career start at Pocono Raceway in Friday’s General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible 200.

Hessert, a native of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, has managed four top-5 and seven top-10 finishes over the course of his career at the ‘Tricky Triangle’ with his best Pocono finish of third coming in 2014.

“Pocono has been an up and down track for me over the years,” said Hessert. “It’s a very demanding track with three unique corners. It’s important to be consistent and hit your marks every lap.”

Currently third in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards championship point standings, Hessert, driver of the No.25 Venturini Motorsports Toyota, knows consistency over the season is the key to success.

“We’re coming into a critical stretch of racing here the next couple of months,” said Hessert. “You can’t win a championship in June or July but you sure can lose one with a few bad weeks. We need to stay consistent and set our goals high, we can’t afford any letdowns, especially at this pivotal point in the season.”

With four consecutive top-10 finishes the No.25 team is starting to rebound from a slow start.

“So far, we’ve been able to put together some good finishes but we’re not exactly where we need to be – just yet. We started off the season with some tough luck at Daytona and we were a little off at Nashville but lately things have started to get better and I feel the momentum building. Pickle (Ryan London) and the entire 25 crew have worked hard the last couple of weeks preparing for this upcoming stretch. I’m hoping everyone’s effort pays off and we can get a strong finish this weekend.”
