Quin Houff excited for return to Southern National this weekend

After opening the season in victory lane at Southern National Motorsports Park in April, Quin Houff is ready for the CARS Super Late Model Tour to return to the Lucama, North Carolina track this weekend for race four of the CARS Tour 2016 season. In the season-opener, Quin started third, then dominated during a long green flag run before holding off a late race charge to take the checkered flag.

“Team LFR and myself are super excited to get back to Southern National Motorsports Park and have another strong run,” the 18-year old Weyers Cave, Virginia native recently commented. “Ever since we won there back in April we have been more eager than ever to get back to victory lane. Hopefully Saturday night we put the Beatincancerwithduke.org Chevy back in victory lane for the sweep of SNMP!”

In the two CARS Tour races since April, Quin has recorded a pair of top ten finishes, including a fifth place run after starting on the front row two weeks ago at Hickory Motor Speedway.

“Pretty cool way to start the night on the front row with my LFR teammate,” Quin said after the race. “However, the racing was very hectic! After running in 2nd for the first part of the race I got shuffled back to 8th on a restart – fought back to a 5th place finish. Overall, a solid night for the Beatincancerwithduke.org Chevy and team LFR.”

Prior to the CSX Play it Safe 250 pres by MMIA at Southern National, teams will have three practice sessions on Friday, followed by two practice sessions then qualifying at 5:15pm on Saturday. Quin enters the race ranked second in the CARS Super Late Model Tour driver points standings, just seven points out of the points lead.
