Sargeant Salem Ready for ARCA Debut

Dalton Sargeant will make his highly anticipated ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards debut at Salem Speedway on Sunday, April 24 during the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200.

Sargeant, an 18-year old, high school senior, will make his first of 15-series starts with Venturini Motorsports (VMS) driving the No.55 Toyota Racing Development – Windows 10 Toyota.

“This upcoming weekend at Salem is something I’ve been looking forward to for a long time,” said Sargeant. “A lot of firsts coming up – my ARCA debut, my first race with crew chief Billy Venturini and Venturini Motorsports, and the first race for me at Salem Speedway.”

Sargeant will join VMS teammates Tom Hessert (No.25 Renton Coil Spring Toyota) and Christopher Bell (No.66 JBL Toyota) as part of the team’s three-car effort at Salem Speedway.

“I’m really looking forward to having teammates like Christopher Bell and Tom Hessert at the track. During the Salem test a few weeks ago we all meshed really well together and I think it helped everyone’s performance. We all pushed each other to go faster, and I’m excited to see how that will translate into overall team speed on race weekend,” added Sargeant.

As part of a tune up, Sargeant competed last weekend in a CARS Super Late Model Tour event at Orange County Speedway where he finished third taking home his first podium finish of the season. Christopher Bell, also competing in the same event, took the checkered flag.

In 2015, Sargeant made four NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts with two top-10 finishes, he also competed in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series and several Super Late Model and Late Model starts all around the country. Sargeant had one win, two pole position starts and nine top-three finishes in 18 starts in his NASCAR K&N Pro Series rookie season.

Sargeant, a native of Boca Raton, Florida will also drive his No.55 Toyota at Talladega Superspeedway, Toledo Speedway, New Jersey Motorsports Park, both Pocono Raceway dates, Michigan Int’l Speedway, Winchester Speedway, Iowa Raceway, Lucas Oil Raceway, Berlin Raceway, Salem Speedway (Fall race), Chicagoland Speedway, Kentucky Speedway and the ARCA Series finale at Kansas Speedway.
