Roller Derby Coming to Mobile International Speedway

The Schedule for the April 16th Spectacular at Mobile International Speedway just got bigger with the addition of Mobile’s Derby Darling Roller Derby Team. During intermission the girls will put on a special exhibition on the front straight away.
“Putting on an event on a race track is a first for us but it sounds like a blast!” offered Taquitia Winn President of Mobile’s Derby. “I’m sure our girls are going to put on a great show for the fans!”
Roller Derby joins an already packed schedule with Qualifying, heats and feature races for the Motorcycles, Pro-Trucks, Bob’s Speed Shop Bombers and the Island Motors II Bombers.
“With a $10 ticket night and our Pepsi 6 pack offer we are expecting a big night at the Speedway on the 16th,” said Tommy Praytor, NASCAR K & N Mobile 150 promoter. “We still have 10 more days before we race there is no telling what we may dream up between now and then.”
The Speedway has the weekend off before getting back to business with a good old fashioned Saturday night of racing. If purchased in advance fans can take advantage of the Pepsi 6 pack offer, buy 6 tickets for only $50.
If you have your Friday night ticket from March 11th, Friday armband or Weekend Armband they will be good for Saturday April 16th. Racing starts at 7 with grandstand prices $10, the first 200 kids 12 and under free when accompanied by an adult. Pits will be $25. “We are really excited about our lineup for April the 16th. It’s like we are going back in a time machine, lower ticket prices, qualifying, heat and feature races for every class, I wish Lee (Fields) was going to be here to drive the pace car,” said Promoter Tommy Praytor. “If you have never seen the Motorcycles you are in for a real treat.”
Fans will be treated to a good old fashioned barn burning Saturday night of racing on the 16th with qualifying, heat races and feature for the Motorcycles, Pro-Trucks, Island Motors II Bombers and Bobs Speed Shop Sportsman.
