ARCA Announces Broadcast Schedule on American Sports Network

Officials from the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards have announced the American Sports Network (ASN) broadcast schedule for 2016. ASN’s coverage of the ARCA Racing Series will kick off with live coverage of the Menards 200 presented by Federated Car Care from Toledo (OH) Speedway on Sunday, May 22 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern.
 
The April 9th Music City 200 from Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville, and the April 24th Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200 from Salem Speedway will each be recorded for delayed broadcast. The Music City 200 is scheduled to air on Thursday June 2, and the Salem race is scheduled to air June 9. Each will air at 7:00 p.m. Eastern. In all, ASN will broadcast nine ARCA events in 2016, including five live broadcasts.
 
ASN is the sports division of Sinclair Networks Group, a subsidiary of Sinclair Broadcast Group,   Inc. (Nasdaq: SBGI). Sinclair is the largest television station operator in the United States , owning or operating 171 television stations in 81 markets. Through relationships with over the air broadcasters and other regional sports networks, ASN looks to expand the reach and exposure of the ARCA Racing Series.
 
In addition to the Menards 200 from Toledo, ASN is scheduled to televise live races from Madison (Wis.) International Speedway on June 19; Winchester (Ind.) Speedway on June 26; Berlin Raceway (just west of Grand Rapids, Mich.) on August 6; and the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield on August 21. Additional delayed broadcasts include the September 4 ARCA race from the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds in Illinois, and the 100th ARCA race at Salem Speedway September 10.
