Iwuji makes his NASCAR K&N Pro Series West debut at Kern County

Fresh off a 20th place run in the K&N Pro Series West opener at Irwindale, Jesse Iwuji will be piloting his #36 Red List Group Chevrolet when the series heads to beautiful Kern County Raceway Park on Sunday for the NAPA Auto Parts 150.

Iwuji hopes to gain momentum after a respectable finish at Irwindale. At the season opening race at Irwindale Jesse was able to accomplish the all-important task of keeping the car clean and out of trouble.

The ½ mile asphalt oval at Kern County Raceway Park is a new venture for Iwuji, but nevertheless, Jesse is excited to get back to racing against the highly competitive K&N West field.

The visit to the track will be the fifth in the series history. It is expected to be another picturesque California day with highs in the Mid 80s when the green flag drops on Sunday for the official season opening night at Kern County.

Jesse, like many professional drivers, has been getting ready for the second stop on the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West schedule by using the iracing simulator platform to better prepare him for the Kern County short track.

Jesse remarks about his experience so far in the series by saying “The K&N series has been awesome and really doing an excellent job with its racing and marketing the last few years. It’s pretty awesome to know that 4.8 million unique viewers watched our races last year on NBC Sports”

Iwuji would like to thank his sponsors: The Red List Group, The Joie of Seating, Houston Motorsports, Rugged Radios, ATL Fuel Cells, DJ Safety and Iracing.
