Sarah Cornett-Ching NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Preview: Greenville Pickens Speedway

The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East heads to Greenville Pickens Speedway this Saturday for the Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 150, where Sarah Cornett-Ching plans to pick up where she left off at the end of the last race in Mobile, Alabama. In that race, Sarah passed the most cars and won the Coca-Cola Move of the Race Award, taking the checkered flag in the 11th position.

The race on Saturday will be the Summerland, British Columbia natives first on the historic half-mile South Carolina oval. Sarah and her Race101 team tested her No. 02 Dickies Chevrolet last week in preparation for the race.

“I’m excited to race at Greenville Pickens, it’s a track with a lot of history and is known for some great racing,” Sarah commented. “We have momentum from last week at Mobile that we will take to this new track this weekend.”

This will be her second race with Dickies on-board as a sponsor, after the company announced their plan to team up with Sarah for the remainder of the 2016 season just before the race in Mobile. Headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, the Williamson-Dickie Mfg. Co. is the number one manufacturer of work apparel worldwide.

Off the strength of her solid finish last week, Sarah moved into a tie for 12th place in the K&N Pro Series East driver points standings, and is only four points outside of the top ten.

Sarah will be signing autographs for fans during the on-track autograph session beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Earlier in the day, first practice is scheduled for 1:45 to 2:30 p.m., followed by final practice from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m. Qualifying will begin at 5:15 p.m. The green flag for the Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 150 is set for 7:00 p.m.
