TEN: The Enthusiast Network and IRG Sports + Entertainment Announce a Multi-Year Partnership

The world’s premier network of enthusiast brands, TEN: The Enthusiast Network (TEN) and IRG Sports + Entertainment™ (IRGSE) announced a multi-year partnership that will bring a number of highly sought after automotive events to IRGSE venues. TEN’s portfolio of events include: HOT ROD Power Tour, LOWRIDER Super Show, HOT ROD Drag Week, CAR CRAFT Summer Nationals, Great American Racing Series, and HOT ROD Engine Masters.

The new partnership pairs the leading marketer and promoter of sports and live entertainment experiences with the world’s premier network of enthusiast brands such as MOTOR TREND, AUTOMOBILE, HOT ROD, SURFER, TRANSWORLD, and GRINDTV. TEN’s media portfolio includes more than 50 publications, 60 websites, the world’s largest automotive VOD channel, and the world’s largest action/outdoor sports media platform.

The two organizations will work together to deliver an unmatched at-track racer and fan experience. This relationship also extends benefits to all of the member tracks of the International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) as well as IRGSE’s individual memberships.

“As part of the 100-day plan written to the board of IRGSE, we promised that the future of the collective companies under our umbrella would benefit by working only with best in class companies and by every measure the TEN network and their brands are among the very best in the automotive marketplace,” stated Vice Chairman of the Board and CEO, Chris Lencheski. “We look forward to this partnership for many years to come.”

IRGSE and TEN hosted multiple events together in previous years with the HOT ROD Power Tour making stops at Memphis International Raceway in 2013 and 2015. The inaugural season of The Great American Racing Series also held their championship weekend at Memphis International Raceway’s tri-oval last year. In addition, HOT ROD Drag Week visited Cordova International Raceway in 2015 as well as Memphis International Raceway in 2012 and 2013.

The expanded relationship will include the Super Chevy Show at all IRSE properties in 2016, and the exploration of future joint endeavors during the five-year partnership including Truck Mania. The first event scheduled for 2016 is the country’s largest Chevy enthusiast event, the Super Chevy Show at Memphis International Raceway on April 8 – 10.

“The TEN / IRGSE partnership allows us to solidify and grow our position as the premier promoter of enthusiast focused auto events,” said TEN’s President of Automotive Scott Bailey. “Using the rebirth of the Super Chevy Show series as the initial building block of the TEN / IRGSE partnership, we look to aggressively expand this and several other event properties across IRGSE owned and operated tracks as well as throughout the network of IHRA facilities.”

The confirmed 2016 event dates include: Super Chevy Show at Memphis International Raceway, April 8 – 10; Super Chevy Show at Palm Beach International Raceway, April 23 – 24; Super Chevy Show at Cordova International Raceway, May 21- 22; and Super Chevy Show at Maryland International Raceway, August 20 – 21. Additional events will be announced as they are finalized.
