GMS Racing driver Grant Enfinger and the No. 23 Champion Power Equipment / Allegiant Travel / Alamo Rental Car /Triple K Construction Chevrolet team earned the 2015 Auto Racing Club of America (ARCA) Racing Series presented by Menards Championship after rolling off the starting grid for the season finale, Full Throttle S’loonshine 98.9 at Kansas Speedway.

The No. 23 GMS Racing team came into the Full Throttle S’loonshine 98.9 with the same strategy they had all year long, finish strong. After a solid fifth-place starting spot, Grant Enfinger and the Champion Power Equipment held onto a top-10 running position much of the 99 laps. With a great long-run Impala, Enfinger worked his way up to a third-place finishing position.

Enfinger from Fairhope, Alabama first got his start in racing at a young age by racing go-karts all across Alabama. The 30-year-old has been climbing the racing ranks by having success in legend cars, super late models and has made a handful of starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS). Enfinger’s first ARCA start came in 2008 and has accumulated 14 wins, 45 top-fives and 64 top-10 finishes.

“This season has taught me a lot about how hard work pays off and team work is everything,” said Enfinger. “I am blessed, to say the least, to be part of such a hardworking team and well-rounded organization like GMS Racing. Everyone has worked their tails off and I wouldn’t be standing here receiving this reward without their hard work and determination throughout this 2015 season.”

Enfinger turned heads with an impressive start to the 2015 season, winning the first three races of the ARCA Racing Series season at Daytona International Speedway, Mobile International Speedway and Nashville Fairgrounds for the second consecutive year. He continued that success throughout the 20-race season to record six victories, 13 top-five, 16 top-10 finishes and three pole awards and led 792 laps.

“It has been a great season for GMS Racing, Grant and the No. 23 team,” said Jeff Stankiewicz, crew chief of the No. 23 team. “This season was no where near perfect but we grew and learned as a team and that’s what got us where we are standing at today, accepting this Championship.”

The Statesville, N.C based organization has competed in 82 ARCA Racing Series races collecting nine wins, 27 top-five and 43 top-10 finishes and three pole awards. In 29 races for GMS Racing, Enfinger has contributed eight wins, 17 top-five and 20 top-10 finishes, and three Menard’s Pole Awards by Ansell.

“I am so proud of Grant and the entire GMS Racing team and what they have accomplished this season,” said Maury Gallagher, team owner. “Winning a Championship is a big step for GMS Racing’s growth and development. None of this would be possible without great partnership from Allegiant Travel, Alamo Rental Car, Champion Power Equipment, Triple K Construction, Chevrolet, Wurth and Portable Shade.  I can’t wait to see what the future holds for GMS Racing.”

In addition to winning the ARCA Racing Series drivers points championship, Enfinger has locked up the owners points championship, the Menards Pole by Ansell award, the Valvoline Lap Leader award, the Fast Track award, the Racing Electronics Lightning Challenge and the Manufactures Championship for Chevrolet.
