Nearly 110 Micro Sprints Readying for 2024 California Speedweek

Nearly 110 Micro Sprint racers will take on the toughest challenge in the golden state as they battle to earn the coveted wooden bear trophies, with the Hoosier Tire California Speedweek July 2, 3, 5, and 6. Headlined by a blockbuster 39 car Non-Wing field, competitors in Non-Wing, Super 600, Restricted, and Jr. Sprints will compete at Lemoore Jet Bowl and Visalia’s Plaza Park Raceway followed by a double-dip on July 5 and 6 at Stockton’s Delta Speedway. More than $58,500 in cash and prizes is being offered for the four races in five nights spectacular.
 
Registration is limited and going quickly at www.CASpeedweek.com for $350 per car, not including driver pit pass entry. Limited spaces are available for $150 per day for daily competitors. With above average temperatures forecasted, teams are encouraged to begin hydrating early. Each track will have limited supplies of water available as well to assist. Pit gates will open at 2pm each night with pill draw closing at 5:15pm before the 5:30pm drivers meeting. Cars will be on the track at approx. 6:30pm each night. The Non-Wing show at Speedweek has grown into a signature event in Micro Sprint racing and that tradition continues in 2024. Recent entries include 2023 Restricted Speedweek champion Nathan Ward of Bakersfield, age 12, and Keith Kunz Motorsports Midget ace Kale Drake of Oologah, Oklahoma.
 
Double-duty racers recently entered feature 2023 Speedweek Super and Non-Wing champion Caden Sarale of Stockton, recent Sprint Car Challenge Tour winner Braden Chiarmonte of El Cajon, and multi-time race winner and track champion in West Coast Micros Ashton Torgerson of Glendale, Ariz. Colton Key of Fresno will compete in the 33-car Super 600 field as well.
 
Both Super 600 and Non-Wing race for $1000 to win each night and $2000 to the series champion.
 
Restricted has swelled to 20 entrants with 2023 Delta Speedway Jr. Sprints champion Briggs Davis of Manteca among the new faces to join. The series’ youngest competitors will compete in Jr. Sprints with 17 drivers ready to chase their inaugural bear trophies.
 
The Hoosier Tire California Speedweek will be broadcast live on Fast Four Media all four nights. Bullet Impressions is the official merchandise vendor for the event. Several prominent motorsports photographers will be in attendance as well for teams to utilize their services.
