Dusenberry Martin Racing Signs Matt Tifft As Game Ambassador

Dusenberry Martin Racing (DMR) has signed a multi-year agreement with 19-year-old Matt Tifft (@Matt_Tifft) to serve as a Game Ambassador. Tifft, a Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) and Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) development driver, will join other DMR Game Ambassador drivers, including 2015 Daytona 500 Champion Joey Logano, Ryan Blaney and Darrell Wallace Jr.

Tifft’s initial interest in becoming a NASCAR driver came from playing the original NASCAR Heat video game, which was published by Hasbro in 2000, while DMR founders Tom Dusenberry and Ed Martin were part of the Hasbro team.

“Video games serve as a primary entry point into sports for many young athletes,” said Matt Dusenberry, DMR’s Director of NASCAR Industry Relations. “Matt’s authentic passion for video games and motorsports makes him a natural fit to become a Game Ambassador and represent Dusenberry Martin Racing.”

Tifft will use his expertise and experience as a driver to assist DMR, a NASCAR Team Properties licensee, in the development of certain NASCAR-branded video games.

Tifft will take to the track Friday (Sept. 18) at Chicagoland Speedway in the KBM No. 54 NASCAR ’15 Victory Edition Toyota Tundra. The American Ethanol E15 225 marks the first of several this season in which DMR will partner with Tifft in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series™ competition.

“I’m looking forward to being part of the DMR team, and representing DMR both on and off the track,” said Tifft. “Video games have always been a big hobby of mine, as well as a valuable training tool throughout my career. One thing I find extremely appealing about this relationship is being able to provide my feedback on enhancing gameplay to the DMR development team.”

Catch Tifft and the No. 54 NASCAR ’15 Victory Edition Toyota Tundra in the American Ethanol E15 225 Friday night on FS1 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
