NASCAR Mexico Series racing returns to NBC Unverso this weekend

NBC UNIVERSO, the modern sports and entertainment cable channel for Latinos, today announced that it will air live the Potosina 200 this Sat., July 12 beginning at 2:00 p.m. ET / 11:00 a.m. PT. This race will be the eighth stop of the 2015 NASCAR Mexico Series, and the second time this season that drivers will battle at the Autodromo Potosino in San Luis Potosi for the title of champion.

The Mexico Series has become a battle ground of sorts for many young, talented and up-and-coming drivers looking to progress through the NASCAR ranks. Earlier this season, during the a Mexico Series race in San Luis Potosi, driver Rubén Rovelo found himself in Victory Lane celebrating his ninth career NASCAR Mexico Series win by just .540 seconds ahead of fellow racing standouts Rafael Martinez, Irwin Vences and Rubén Garcia. All have four drivers have either captured the checkered flag or have fallen just short with a second place finish in previous Mexico Series races this year. Vences and Rovelo are currently ranked No. 1 and No. 2 respectively in the NASCAR Mexico Series standings.
