LFR Chassis will be adding William Byron to its Super Late Model team for the 2015 season. Byron will be racing in select events for LFR Chassis, beginning with the May 9 CARS Tour race at Hickory Motor Speedway.
“William is a proven winner and I’m excited to have someone of his background and accomplishments join our team,” said LFR Chassis owner Rob Fuller. “It’s a huge compliment to our company that he wants to race with LFR and it speaks volume from where we’ve come as a team and manufacturer. All of our Super Late Model drivers have been running up front and knocking at the door to a win. I’m expecting William to potentially be the first to get that win for LFR.”
Byron, a 17 year-old Charlotte, N.C. native, currently competes in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East for HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks. He leads the point standings with one win, two Top-5 and three Top-10 finishes. Byron also picked up a second place finish last weekend at Denny Hamlin’s Short Track Showdown.
In 2013 and 2014, Byron competed in the U.S. Legends Cars Pro and Young Lion divisions. During this time, he captured multiple wins and titles, including the 2013 U.S. Legends Young Lions National Championship.
At LFR, Byron looks forward to working with Jeff Fultz, LFR Chassis’ Late Model Division Director. Byron believes in Fultz’s experience and expertise as a former driver and current crew chief. Through this partnership, the driver will continue to gain experience on different tracks in great equipment, while LFR gets to work with a driver that will run its equipment up in the front of the field and test its limits.

I know we can do great things together on the track, the team works hard and is dedicated to its Super Late Model program.”
Byron’s Super Late Model schedule will be based around his K&N schedule and Late Model schedule that he has with JR Motorsports. He will be driving he Liberty University Chevrolet while he continues his education at the Charlotte Country Day School and Liberty University Online Academy.
