Carter 2 Motorsports announces line-up for ARCA Mobile 200

Carter 2 Motorsports has announced its driver lineup for the ARCA Mobile 200 on March 14th.

Ronnie Osmer will pilot the No. 40 Carter 2 Motorsports Dodge, making his first career start in the ARCA Racing Series. The 15-year-old Osmer will be making history in his start, being the second youngest driver to start an ARCA Racing Series event. He is also a frequent racer at the Mobile, where he claimed Rookie of the Year honors last season, in addition to competing in the Snowflake 100 at the Five Flags Speedway, the home of the Snowball Derby.

“I am very excited,” Osmer said in anticipation of his record-breaking start. “I think I have a clear advantage being that I race at Mobile (International Speedway) on a regular basis and I have a great opportunity with Carter 2 Motorsports to capitalize on that and gain experience in an ARCA car.”

Gregg Hutto Jr. will pilot the No. 95 Carter 2 Motorsports Dodge, making a “hometown” start in the ARCA Racing Series. The Birmingham, Alabama native has made one career ARCA Racing Series start, coming at the Talladega Superspeedway in 2012. In that race, he piloted the No. 40 Affordable Auto Glass-Suncoast Auto Sales Dodge to a 25th finish. He also has a significant amount of local racing experience, in addition to being a regular instructor with the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience.

Finally, Bobby Hamilton Jr. will pilot the No. 97 Nitroforce Industries Titan 1000 Dodge, in his first ever race at the half-mile Mobile International Speedway.

“It is rare to find a place I haven’t made laps at,” Hamilton Jr. said of racing at Mobile. “But it is a track that I have always wanted to race in these cars. These cars are so much fun to drive and that is why I am committed to running in ARCA.”

Hamilton is looking to springboard off his 26th place finish at the Daytona International Speedway last month, where he was denied a proper finish due to miscues during crucial pit stops. This kept him from latching on to an effective draft with a group of cars, thus resulting in his finish.

The ARCA Mobile 200 will be run for the third consecutive year, as the ARCA Racing Series will look to add to the track’s well- known legacy. The race is planned for an approximate green flag at 2:00pm CT on March 14th. There will also be an autograph session at the USS Alabama , which will take place on March 12th. There is no planned national television coverage, but ARCARacing.com will provide Live Timing & Scoring throughout the entire event.
