Rheem Teams Up with Mechanical HVAC Services to Sponsor Brayton Haws in 2015

Brayton Haws Racing (BHR) today announced that Atlanta, Ga.-based Rheem Manufacturing Company will be the team’s primary sponsor for the 2015 racing season.  Brayton Haws, the 15-year-old driver from Youngsville, N.C., is one of stock car racing’s young, head-turning talents. The No. 41 Hawk-McCall Motorsports (HMM) team will compete under the longtime motorsports sponsor’s iconic red and black Rheem paint scheme for 20 to 25 Late Model Stock Car events, as well as an unspecified number of NASCAR K&N Pro Series East races.  Mechanical HVAC Services of Wake Forest, N.C., will be providing additional support of Haws’ Late Model and K&N East efforts in 2015.

Haws and the powerhouse HMM team will again compete at several tracks throughout the southeastern U.S.  The young driver first competed in the late model stock car ranks for Hawk-McCall Motorsports in 2014, where Haws scored 10 top-10 finishes in 15 starts and capped off his rookie year by winning the prestigious Autumn Classic at Southern National Motorsports Park in Kenly, N.C.

“I’m grateful to have the support of Rheem for the upcoming season,” said Haws.  “They are an experienced, dedicated sponsor known for their quality and reliable performance; I’m honored to become a part of their team and am humbled to join some of the best talents in our sport that have driven under the Rheem brand.  I’m looking forward to taking this next step in my development.   The success our team had at the end of the 2014 season has given me a lot of confidence in myself and my team’s ability to perform at a level that will please fans and make Rheem proud of sponsoring our No. 41 HMM team.”

Haws will be under the direction of veteran Late Model Stock Car crew chief Lee McCall.  Throughout his career in the sport, McCall has worked with names like Ricky Rudd, Jamie McMurray, Bill Elliott, Kyle Larson, Brandon Jones and most recently 2014 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East champion, Ben Rhodes. McCall sees an unlimited amount of potential in Haws and has high expectations for the 2015 season.

“I am thrilled to get started for the 2015 season with Brayton, Rheem and all of our partners,” said McCall.  “After a successful season with Brayton in 2014 scoring two wins, our goals and achievements will be set much higher for the 2015 season. We are looking forward to our winter testing in a couple of weeks for the upcoming season, as well as our season opening race on March 7.”

“Brayton has shown a great ability to learn and develop into a top-rate racer; he has shown the maturity and discipline necessary to be an excellent driver and more importantly a good and decent young man,” said Ed Raniszeski, Managing Director of Rheem Motorsports.  “All of us at Rheem wish Brayton, Lee and the entire No. 41 team much success on and off the track in 2015.”

Details on Haws’ plans for the 2015 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East season will be announced at a later date.  At this point, the 15-year-old is eyeing starts at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway and Iowa Speedway.
