Larsen Motorsports Kicks off Pre-Season at PRO Winter Warm-up

Palm Beach International Raceway hosts the fourth annual PRO Winter Warm-up (#PROwarmup) on Jan. 16-17. Larsen Motorsports Jet Dragster teams will be in attendance along with top names in professional drag racing as they test under the lights amid great anticipation for the 2015 race season.

“This event brings out an impressive group of drag racing’s elite. The Larsen Motorsports five teams will take this time to dial in our jet cars, drivers and introduce our partners for our upcoming season with the IHRA Nitro Jam Drag Racing Series,” said Chris Larsen, Team Principle and Co-owner.

Nitro Jam Drag Racing fans will be thrilled to have back returning LMS drivers Kat Moller, Marisha Falk, Allison West and Elaine Larsen.

Kat Moller, a 20-year-old mechanical engineering student, is looking forward to her second season. Moller, who has been drag racing since she was a child, saw success in her 2014 rookie jet dragster season with her first win, in Cordova, Illinois. Moller will be driving the Matrix System Automotive Paint jet dragster.

Marisha Falk, is an accomplished pilot and a three-time medal winner in the Women’s Air Race Classic. She returns for her fourth consecutive season with Larsen Motorsports.

Allison West, driver of the NAPA Auto Parts jet dragster, has been a technician at LMS for two years. Allison earned her jet dragster license in 2014 and was introduced in the IHRA Nitro Jam series mid-season last year. Allison plans to attend select IHRA Nitro Jam races in 2015 and will be at the PRO Winter Warm-up with her NAPA Auto Parts jet dragster.

Elaine Larsen, team owner and now a Florida STEM Education Ambassador, will begin her 11th year piloting a jet car. Larsen, who will again be driving the Miller Welding jet dragster, is the driving force behind the success of LMS. “Over the past few months we’ve made significant changes to the infrastructure and operation of the LMS teams. We’ve relocated to Melbourne, Fla., and formed a new affiliation with Melbourne-based Florida Institute of Technology, one of the leading technological universities in the world. Our new, 30,000-square-foot facility near Florida Tech will host research and development opportunities in the high-performance-vehicles industry for faculty and students,” Elaine Larsen said.

A newcomer to LMS in 2015 is Shea Holbrook. An experienced and proven professional road racer and co-owner of her own team in the Pirelli World Challenge, this 24-year-old Florida native will pilot the all-new Florida Institute of Technology jet dragster. The 2015 season marks her first drag race season.

Fans will not only have the opportunity to watch the action on the track; they can also experience the thrill of being up close and personal in the pits with the teams and drivers. Enjoy two nights of acceleration speeds from 0-to-60 mph in less than a second and top speeds reaching 300 mph.
