Announcing Speedway Benefits’ Conference Lineup for PRI-Indy

Industry experts from all over the motorsports field are gathering for the inaugural Speedway Benefits Promoter’s Conference to be held Friday, December 12, 2014 at the Performance Racing Industry Show – PRI-Indy. Momentum is gaining as reviews from abbreviated content presented at the annual promoters meeting in Portland, OR’s Western Auto Racing Promoters Association (WARPA) come in.

“This was one of the best WARPA promoter’s meetings I’ve ever been to. Trip’s sponsorship presentation was very informative and taught us how to speak and present our program in corporate language. I gained more insight into the opportunities from Social Media in 20 minutes with Terri than I’ve had in years in the industry,” said Steve Beitler of Skagit Speedway and Grays Harbor Raceway who attended the WARPA conference recently. “I am looking forward to Speedway Benefits expanding on these topics at PRI-Indy.”

Led by legendary promoter and keynote speaker, H.A. ‘Humpy’ Wheeler, the Speedway Benefits Promoters Conference will be unlike any ever held, as it will guide promoters and track operators to raise their bottom line by not only showing them what do to, but how to do it.

An all-star panel of speakers has been assembled with a wide variety of backgrounds and perspectives to share their knowledge with the attendees. MAVTV’s, Dave Despain, will serve as the emcee for the event and will also bring a unique insight to the conference.

PRESENTERS:

Sports marketing veteran, Trip Wheeler, will be joined on stage by Batesville Speedway’s Mooney Starr and Charlotte Motor Speedway’s Director of Business Development, Matt Long, who helped guide Bank of America into the motorsports world several years ago. Starr has been one of the most successful promoters in the nation when it comes to attracting sponsors at his facility. This experienced panel will discuss how to secure local sponsorships, a topic critical to the success of our industry.

Todd Adams, who oversaw concessions for SMI Properties, will be joined by Adam Nelson of Meridian Speedway for a special section on maximizing concession profits. Nelson is widely known as one of the ‘concession kings’ in the country. This team will bring practical ideas to even the most experienced promoter, to show how concessions can be a revenue generating machine.

Social Media expert, Terri Marascio, will be joined by Carolina Speedway’s, Clint Elkins, for a can’t miss look at how to use social media to grow revenue. The duo worked hand in hand to develop a social media plan that resulted in monumental growth and results this year. They will share insider secrets to their success in the social media space.

The day will close out with a celebrity round table joining Humpy Wheeler on stage to discuss the state of the sport with an interactive panel discussion.
