Justin Allison Earns Career Best Kansas Finish In Team Debut

After starting 33rdand avoiding all of the chaos, Justin Allison drove the No. 08 HAVACO Sales/Rush Racing Products/ Collins Engineering Ford Fusion to a solid ninth place finish in the ARCA 98.9 at Kansas Speedway on Friday, Oct. 3, during the final ARCA Racing Series event of the 2014 season.

The effort marks Allison’s best finish at Kansas Speedway. He made his series debut at the speedway last year where he finished 11th.  Friday night’s finish is also Justin’s seventh top-10 of the 2014 ARCA Racing Series season.

“To come back to Kansas and finish ninth as a car owner is just an awesome feeling,” Allison said. “My team and I worked so hard and put this car together at the very last minute. I just couldn’t be any more proud of everyone on the team. I’d like to thank HAVACO Technologies, Rush Racing Products, Tornado Alley 3 Minute Car Wash, Collins Engineering and everyone else who made it possible.”

With Menards Pole Qualifying Presented by Ansell being canceled due to rain and shuffling of the schedule, Allison started in the 33rd position. The starting lineup was set by owner points and since this weekend’s entry was the debut of Justin Allison Racing, there were no previous points. However, it didn’t take long for Allison to make his way through the field. By lap five, Justin had made his way to 20th, and by lap 35, he was knocking on the door of the top-10 as he moved into the 14th position.

“I knew we had a fast car,” Allison said. “We were mid-pack during practice so I knew we’d move through the field fairly quickly during the race. When starting in the back, you just have to be patient and keep out of trouble, and that’s what we did.”

After a series of two cautions, the first coming out on lap 45 and the second on lap 59, Justin had made his way closer to the top-10. On a restart with only 28 laps to go, Allison restarted 13th, but by the time the field entered turns three and four, all chaos broke loose as drivers upfront began to crash. Allison maneuvered through all of the carnage and entered the top-10. In the end, Allison kept his nose clean and captured a ninth place finish.

“The last half of the race was wild,” Allison said. “On the next to the last restart as we were rounding turns three and four, all I saw were cars sliding in every direction. I tried my best to slow down as much as possible, but when you do that, there’s a chance you’ll get hit from behind. I went up towards the wall and was able to miss everything.”

The 2014 ARCA Racing Series season was quite a success for the 22-year old from Salisbury, N.C. In only 10 starts, Justin captured one win, three top-five and seven top-10 finishes.

“I just want to thank my family, sponsors and everyone else who made this season a success,” Allison said. “To finish out my first season in ARCA with a win and seven top-10 finishes is just unreal. I’m very humbled to have had the opportunity to compete. I’ll remember this year for the rest of my life. Hopefully the momentum will carry on towards next season.”

As for 2015, the future is unknown, but Justin hopes to continue to compete in the ARCA Racing Series. To keep up with all of the latest Justin Allison Racing news, visit www.JustinAllisonRacing.com, like Justin Allison (Official Fan Page) on Facebook and follow @justinclay88 on Twitter.
