New Hampshire Motor Speedway…The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE) heads to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the 10th race of the 2014 season. Turner Scott Motorsports (TSM) looks to continue their string of success heading into the Granite State 100, coming off the team’s fifth victory of 2014 and fourth-consecutive win with Ben Rhodes at Langley Speedway. Rhodes wasn’t the only TSM driver with success at Langley, as Cameron Haley, Scott Heckert, Kaz Grala and Brandon Jones all brought home finishes inside the top six. Rhodes, Jones and Heckert all have previous starts at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, while Grala and Hayley will make their first-career starts at New Hampshire in the NKNPSE this weekend.
Kaz Grala…Grala heads home for the Granite State 100, coming off a career-best finish in the NKNPSE. Grala was able to put forth a solid race at Langley and bring home a fifth-place finish, marking his first-career top five in the NKNPSE. The 15-year-old also captured the Rusty Harper Memorial at Caraway Speedway on July 4 in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. A native of Mass., the youngest full-time driver in the NKNPSE will look to build upon this heading to his home track. This weekend will mark the first time Grala has been on track at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in the NKNPSE and the first time his No. 31 will sport the colors of New England Tractor Trailer Training School (NETTTS). Grala enters the Granite State 100 tied for 10th in the NKNPSE Driver Point Standings.
Kaz Grala on his first-career start at New Hampshire Motor Speedway:
“The Loudon race is one that I’ve been excited about for quite some time now. Since I live in Massachusetts, this is the first time I get to race a full-sized racecar close to home. I’ll have a bunch of friends and family at the race, which will be an exciting change. Also, this is my very first race at a mile-long racetrack. I’m really looking forward to getting the No. 31 NETTTS Chevrolet out on track.”
Brandon Jones…Jones comes into the Granite State 100 on a roll, to say the least, after compiling five-straight top 10s, including six in his last seven races and capturing his first-career ARCA Racing Series win at Winchester Speedway a week ago. The 17-year-old hopes to continue the hot streak as Jones gets set for his second-career start at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in the NKNPSE. In 2013, Jones brought home a 12th-place finish at New Hampshire in his sixth-career start. Jones looks to improve upon that this weekend as he enters the race fourth in the NKNPSE Driver Point Standings.
Brandon Jones on New Hampshire Motor Speedway:
“I think it’s safe to say that we’ve been on quite the roll as of late. Coming off the win last week in the ARCA Racing Series, on top of our five straight top 10s, I think this team is only looking for more. The entire No. 33 Wolfpack Energy Services team has been working hard all season long and it’s so rewarding to see everything working out. I’m ready to grab that first K&N win and New Hampshire might just be the place that happens.”
Scott Heckert…After a weekend off, Heckert is ready to return to NKNPSE action after a great showing at Langley Speedway.The 20-year-old captured his first-career 21 Means 21 Pole award, led his first laps in the NKNPSE and brought home a fourth-place finish. The Connecticut native looks to build on that coming into his second-career start at New Hampshire, after finishing 11th in 2013. Heckert enters the Granite State 100 13th in the NKNPSE Driver Point Standings

“Being from New England, New Hampshire is a home race for me, so I’ll have some friends and family at the track. I’m definitely looking to continue our recent string of good finishes. My entire Turner Scott Motorsports team has been doing an awesome job lately and that is definitely showing with the results we’ve had over the past few races.”
Ben Rhodes…Rhodes is coming off yet another spectacular performance. The NASCAR Next driver captured his fourth-consecutive win for the No. 41 Alpha Energy Solutions team at Langley, bringing their season total to five wins in the first nine races of 2014. The 17-year-old will look to take that streak to five at New Hampshire, tying the all-time record in the NKNPSE, which is currently held by Ricky Craven. This weekend will mark the second start at New Hampshire for Rhodes, as he brought home a fourth-place finish in 2013. Rhodes enters the Granite State 100 as the NKNPSE Driver Point Standings leader by 71 points.
Ben Rhodes on if he feels pressure about the streak:
“Not really. Records are great to have because it means you did something right; Ricky’s five wins in a row record is very impressive and it would be really cool to match that, but whether we do or do not tie it doesn’t reflect on how our team is doing. [Crew chief] Mark McFarland (and the entire No. 41 Alpha Energy Solutions team have been performing great all year and there is already a lot to be proud of. I am very fortunate to be supported by a great team and great sponsors, and if we do tie the record, the mark in history will be shared with them too.”
Cameron Hayley…Hayley comes into the Granite State 100 with renewed excitement for the final portion of 2014. The 17-year-old followed up his third-place finish at Five Flags Speedway with a second-place finish at Langley last time out. Hayley looks to continue this success at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, where the 17-year-old will make his first start at the track. Hayley enters this weekend’s race sitting second in the NKNPSE Driver Point Standings, trailing TSM teammate Rhodes by 71 points.
