The Stars Are Gearing up for Pensacola

In just under fours weeks the STARS of the ASA STARS National Tour will race around the fast 1/2 mile of 5 Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida. This race will be the second stop of the season for the ASA STARS National Tour. Headliners like Bubba Pollard, NASCAR Truck Series winner Ty Majeski, Casey Roderick, and Stephen Nasse will take on Rising STARS like Jett Noland, Dawson Sutton, Caden Kvapil and Conner Jones.

What To Expect When You Come to a STARS Show:

The series’ goal is to test drivers & teams, while bringing on track action to the fans like they have never seen before. Longer races test strategy, race craft, and patience for each competitor and team. When the checker flag falls, and the winner crosses the line, they know they have conquered the best on race day.

STARS From 16 States and Canada Represented in Race 1

Drivers from Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Maine, North Carolina, Colorado, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Virginia, and Canada all showed up to New Smyrna Speedway. A similar field is expected with Jacob Gomes heading to Florida all the way from California.

A blend of career short track racers and rising stars with aspirations to be racing in NASCAR will all be in attendance. With drivers that have 40+ years experience racing, and 15-year-old kids who are not even able to drive on the street yet, excitement is bound to happen.

What car do the STARS Race:

The cars raced are purpose built, with steel tubing frames and engines that produce upwards of 600HP. They will reach speeds of 130+ MPH around the fast 1/2-mile track of 5 Flags Speedway.

Where the STARS Are Heading in 2024:

The STARS National Tour looks to bring the best of the best in the Super Late Model world together ten times throughout 2024. The Series will make stops at historic national tracks in Florida, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Tennessee.

Pressing Story Lines:

  • Bubba Pollard has been unstoppable to kick off the 2024 season. Two wins in two super late model races has proven Bubba Pollard is one to contend with every race.
  • Casey Roderick is the point leader after Race 1. Roderick won just one year ago at 5 Flags Speedway in the Inaugural ASA STARS National Tour race.
  • The National STARS all look strong to kick off the 2024 season. Stephen Nasse, Roderick, Cole Butcher, Ty Majeski all ran up front in the first race. This is what the fans come to see, the best racing the best.
  • Ty Majeski is expected to file an entry, however, he will need to take a flight after competing in the NASCAR Truck Series Race in Austin, Texas on Saturday March 23. He will arrive with no practice on practice day and attempt to qualify for the race.
