Enfinger Leads Roush Yates to 1-2-3 Finish at Mobile

Grant Enfinger and Team BCR took home their second win of the season in just two ARCA races, dominating the ARCA Mobile 200 at Mobile International Speedway on Saturday afternoon. Roush Yates Engines powered Kyle Benjamin and Mason Mitchell to second and third place, giving Ford Racing a 1-2-3 finish for the weekend.

Enfinger, in his No. 90 Motor Honey/Casite Ford, led 185 of 204 laps at the half-mile speedway. He survived a series of restarts in the last 50 laps to win for the fourth time in his career. After winning at Daytona International Speedway last month, Enfinger has become the first driver to win the first two events of an ARCA Racing Series season since Jimmy Horton in 1990.

“We had a really good car,” said Enfinger in Victory Lane at him home track. “I can’t say enough about everybody who helps us do this. We’ve just got a lot of good people working together right now. The Roush Yates power was awesome. What a great way to start the year.”

ARCA adopted NASCAR’s double-file restarts this season, and Enfinger got plenty of practice with the new system on Saturday. On the last restart he had Mitchell, also powered by Roush Yates, beside him with much newer tires.

“The car handled so well today,” said Howard Bixman, team owner. “There were no big issues with it being tight or loose. Grant was perfect on all the restarts. I think that’s where we won it today.”

Benjamin, the SCOTT Rookie Challenge winner, finished second at Mobile in only his first race with Roulo Brothers Racing. The No. 98 of Mitchell used an alternate pit strategy that gave him fresher tires to come in third.
