Raceline Radio Network Media Release: NEWS 95.7 is back!

The Raceline Radio Network, Canada’s National Radio Motorsport Authority, marking their 22nd season on the air, is delighted to announce the return of NEWS 95.7 Halifax, a Rogers Broadcasting Ltd., Atlantic Radio Division station, back to the Raceline family!

Following North America’s number-one form of radio programming, the highly successful news/talk/sports format, NEWS 95.7 provides the most comprehensive, local, live and late-breaking news to The Halifax Regional Municipality, plus live open-line talk and sports shows, and live play-by play of Halifax Moosehead Hockey, Toronto Blue Jays Baseball and NFL Football.

“We have stated for years the race fans in the Maritimes are some of the best in the country! Their late model stock car racing heritage has produced some of the best drivers in Canadian Motorsport history! Legends like Junior Hanley and Don Biederman cut their teeth on Nova Scotia ovals. Auto racing has been a vital component of the East Coast sports scene for decades, so we are absolutely thrilled to have NEWS 95.7 back on the Network!”, commented Raceline Radio Network Anchor/Producer Erik Tomas.

NEWS 95.7 Program Director Mark Campbell is very much aware the sport is very important in his market.

“We know that racing is hugely popular in Atlantic Canada and everyone at NEWS 95.7 is ecstatic to bring Raceline to all the great fans in the region!”, Campbell offered.

The addition of NEWS 95.7 bolsters Raceline’s maritime coverage established on long-running affiliate Cat Country 99.5 FM in Truro NS.

Co-flagshipped in partnership with Sportsnet 590 The FAN Toronto and AM 900 CHML Hamilton, The Raceline Radio Network is heard in 16 Canadian radio markets year-round, from Vancouver to Halifax, with 21 airings per week, as several affiliates air Raceline more than once a week.

The Raceline Radio Network is partnered with and sponsored nationally by Subaru Canada and WD 40 Canada.
