Woody Pitkat Lands Full-Time Whelen Modified Ride in 2014

Woody Pitkat will return to the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour in 2014. Pitkat’s current team Hill Enterprises will shut down prior to the 2014 season. Pitkat will drive for Buzz Chew Racing replacing Bryon Chew. Pitkat is happy to have a deal for 2014.

“Obviously I’m pretty grateful and pretty ecstatic,” Pitkat said. ”To me, its like a dream come true. I’ve talked to those guys before and had a little bit of a relationship with them. I practiced Bryon’s [K&N Pro Series East] car back in the day at Thompson. So I kind of knew them.”

Pitkat finished ninth in the points standings in 2013 and has yet to record a win in his Whelen Modified career in 78 starts. Pitkat has been running in the series since 2007 and has a best finish of second which he’s done twice. Pitkat is a native of Stafford, Connecticut.
