Monster Gig Lands Dillner’s Voice on NASCAR Driver Intros at Dover

“The first time my parents took me to a big time NASCAR race, it was 1985 at Dover (DE),” said Bob Dillner. “We were at short track races every week, but this was the first time I was able to see Richard Petty, Bobby Allison, Bill Elliott, Darrell Waltrip and my heroes in person. I remember we stood for all 500 laps.”

Dillner has since become an established broadcaster for FOX Sports and has covered the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series for 15 years.

On Sunday (September 29), he returns to the track he witnessed his first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, not only to commentate for FOX Sports 1, but also as the special guest of AAA Mid-Atlantic and Dover Int’l Speedway to announce each driver in the starting field of the AAA 400 to the thousands of fans in the stands at the “Monster Mile.”

“I am really looking forward to help build up the excitement for the AAA 400 at the Monster Mile,” Dillner said. “There will be a lot of energy on the stage and in the stands in anticipation of the third race in the 2013 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. I can’t wait to help get on stage and help give this race a great sendoff to the green flag.”

Pre-Race activities will get underway at 12:15pm with driver introductions at 1:30pm. The AAA 400 will get underway at 2:00pm. All times are Eastern. Fans are encouraged to arrive early for a pre-race concert at 11:15am for a FREE concert starring country music duo Thompson Square.
