No. 6 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Team Penalized For Rules Violations At @LangleySpeedway

NASCAR announced today the No. 6 team that competes in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East has been penalized as a result of rules violations committed June 22 at Langley Speedway in Hampton, Va.

The No. 6 car was found to be in violation of Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing); 12-4-I (any determination by NASCAR officials that the race equipment used in the event does not conform to NASCAR rules); and 20C-12.1A(1) (Front coil springs must be constructed with a minimum wire diameter of 0.575 inch: Spring did not meet the minimum wire diameter requirements.) of the 2013 NASCAR rule book. The violation was discovered during post-race inspection.

Clyde “Skip” Eyler, crew chief of the No. 6 car, has been fined $1,000, suspended from NASCAR until the fine is paid and placed on NASCAR probation until Aug. 28.

Owner Max Siegel has been penalized with the loss of six NASCAR K&N Pro Series East championship car owner points, while driver Daniel Suàrez has been penalized with the loss of six championship driver points.
