Almirola Wauters Motorsport​s Look to Take Top Spot at Talladega NCWTS Race

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver, Aric Almirola returns to Wauters Motorsports driving the No. 5 Jordan Truck Sales (JTS) Ford F150. Together they look to take the top spot in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Talladega Superspeedway Saturday, October 6, 2012.

Almirola and team owner Richie Wauters, have two second-place finishes together at the 2.66-mile superspeedway and look to pick up the victory in the running of the Fred’s 250 Powered by Coca-Cola.

Almirola has posted two top-five finishes in three starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at the Talladega, Alabama racetrack. Wauters, as crew chief, has scored one victory (Kyle Busch, 2009) and four top-five finishes in six just six starts.

“It is great to have Aric (Almirola) back in the truck with us for Talladega,” Richie Wauters said. “Anytime we have the opportunity to have Aric in the truck we know we will have a successful weekend, especially at a track like Talladega. Aric excels at aerodynamics and drafting so we are all looking forward to a good finish. We have had a lot of success together at Talladega and hope to pick up a win for Ford and our sponsor Jordan Truck Sales this weekend.”

Almirola notched Wauters Motorsports best run in the 2012 Camping World Truck Series at Atlanta Motor Speedway with a fifth-place finish.

The Fred’s 250 Powered by Coca-Cola, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race, is slated for Saturday, October 6, 2012. Speed will televise live coverage of qualifying beginning at 5:00pm ET Friday, October 5, 2012 with live broadcast Camping World Truck Series race beginning at 3:30pm ET. MRN and Sirius Satellite radio channel 90 will begin live radio coverage at 3:30 pm ET.
