HISTORIC WEEKEND ON TAP FOR THE TRUCK SERIES: For the first time the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will take on the infamous Rockingham Speedway. No NASCAR sanctioned event has been held at ‘The Rock’ since February 22, 2004.Two-time Truck Series champion Todd Bodine will once again climb behind the wheel of the No. 11 Red Horse Racing Toyota Tundra for the Good Sam Roadside Assistance 200 presented by Cheerwine for the Sunday showdown. The Red Horse driver sits 10th in the point standings heading into this weekend’s event.

AT THE ROCK: The NASCAR veteran boasts some pretty impressive stats at Rockingham Speedway. Bodine has a total of 21 NASCAR Nationwide Series starts, accumulating two visits to victory lane in 1995 and again in 2001, while collecting eight top-five and 13 top-10 finishes. He has 160 laps led, an average starting spot of 15.7 and finishing spot of 11.7 in his Nationwide Series career. Bodine also has 13 Sprint Cup starts with his best qualifying effort of third back in 2002.

LOYAL SUPPORTER: Bodine got behind the wheel of his first Toyota Tundra in 2004 and continues his support for the prestigious brand during the 2012 season. Toyota will be on board in an effort to help Bodine capture his third driver championship and their sixth manufacturer’s championship. Toyota will serve as primary sponsor for the next three races on Bodine’s No. 11 Toyota Tundra starting this weekend at Rockingham Speedway into Kansas Speedway and again at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

WGI TRIBUTE TO THE BODINE BROTHERS: Watkins Glen International Speedway has renamed a portion of their grandstands in honor of the famous NY native family. The Bodine grandstand is the name of the former Green seating area located at the beginning of the start/finish straightaway. Chemung natives Geoff, Brett and Todd Bodine competed in a combined 40 races at Watkins Glen. Geoff recorded the last of his 18 Sprint Cup victories at the Glen in 1986. Todd started his Sprint Cup career at the Glen in 1992 and earned his first Cup pole there in 1997. Brett Bodine, who had one career Sprint Cup win, continues his presence in NASCAR’s top series as its pace car driver.

CHASSIS HISTORY: The No. 11 team will hit the track this weekend with chassis No. 004 at Rockingham. This is a brand new chassis for the Red Horse Racing stable, and the first chassis that utilizes the new 2012 quarter panel specs.

PREVIOUS RACE RECAP: It was a solid start to the Kroger 250 for Bodine at Martinsville Speedway. Bodine felt stronger than his 13th-place qualifying effort and it showed in the first 30 laps of action as he moved up into the top-10. Shown in the seventh position on lap 220, Bodine blew a right front tire racing into turn two. The No. 11 Toyota Tundra team was relegated a 25th-place finish.

What does it take to run well at Rockingham Speedway?

“You really have to have a truck that is just well balanced. There is a lot of self-control that goes into it. The last thing you want to do is overdrive it. Rockingham is such a historic race track because of how long it has been around. After about 5 laps there is absolutely no grip because the surface is so worn out and it is pretty rough.”

You and your family have had success at ‘The Rock’. What does it mean for you to return in the Truck Series?

“It’s really something special for our family. For all of us to have a win at the same track shows that we were all fortunate enough to drive for good race teams and be surrounded by great people. I have two Nationwide Series wins here and each of them were very special. I am looking forward to getting this Red Horse Racing Truck into victory lane to make it three wins.”
