After a strong run in his debut at Gateway Motorsports Park, Kyle Donahue is set to make his first start at Iowa Speedway in Friday night’s Iowa 200. Donahue will once again pilot the #63 Mittler Brothers Machine & Tool / Redback Boots Chevy Silverado.
“Kyle brought home a fine 16th place finish at Gateway,” says team owner Mike Mittler. “He did a fine job. Iowa will be another learning experience for him, but I know he will do just fine. He has great instincts and knows how to take care of the equipment.”
“Iowa is a really cool track that I’ve wanted to race on for quite a while,” notes Donahue. “There’s lots of action and it really challenges both the driver and crew. I can’t wait to unload and hit the track Friday morning.”
Donahue also wanted to let race fans know that MB Motorsports will be conducting a contest with sponsor Redback Boots Friday night. “During the race we’re going to be doing a contest with Redback Boots, the “100% Australian Boot Company”. If I wasn’t busy driving the race truck, I’d try to win myself. @MBMotorsports will be posting the questions on Twitter, so don’t miss out.”
Contest winners will receive Redback Boots merchandise such as a hat or T-shirt. You just have to follow the team and Redback Boots on Twitter and like their Facebook pages. All the answers can be found at redbackboots.com.
The #63 Mittler Brothers Machine & Tool / Redback Boots Chevy Silverado will also receive support from Winntec, Gateway Kartplex, Mittler Brothers Machine & Tool, MARADYNE® High Performance Fans, Mayhew Tool, Champion Brands, Reikken, Gaither Tool, Excel Bottling / Ski Soda, Timken, MechanixWear and WIX Filters. The team will also continue its support of Blue Lives Matter.
The Iowa 200 will be broadcast on FS1 and MRN at 8:30 pm ET, Friday June 23rd.
