Logano started second – his best qualifying effort in six career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races. He ran strong during the opening laps of the race, inches behind teammate Ryan Blaney, as the Brad Keselowski Racing duo ran 1-2.
Logano started to fade just after the 20 lap mark of the 100 lap event, wrestling a truck that he called “super tight.” He slipped outside the top 10 by lap 30 and was running 15th when he hit the pit lane for a scheduled green flag stop for four tires and adjustments on lap 55. On lap 69 Logano pitted for repairs to the front nose of his truck but he was able to return to the track and was credited with 18th place in the final rundown.
Just before the race began, Draw-Tite made a $10,000 donation to Brad Keselowski’s Checkered Flag Foundation. The company also entertained 280 guests at Saturday’s race.
