Kyle Busch to Enter TD Bank 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway

Kyle Busch Motorsports announced today that Kyle Busch will enter the TD Bank 250 Late Model event at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine on Sunday July 24. Busch will tune up for Sunday’s main event by running the Pro All Star Series Super Late Model 150 race on Saturday, July 23.

The Las Vegas native is returning to the 3/8-mile oval for the first time since running in back-to-back TD Bank 250’s in 2005 and 2006. Busch led 70 laps of the 2005 event and had a straightaway lead before finishing sixth after making a late-race pit stop. In 2006, he came from the 20th starting spot to win the consolation race and was leading the feature before engine problems relegated him to a 22nd-place finish.

“It’s no secret that I love to race, so I’ll be spending my weekend off from the Sprint Cup Series in July running the late model races at Oxford Plains Speedway,” said Busch. “The track is a lot of fun to drive. It’s very flat, the corners are very round and the straightaways aren’t very long. Bill Ryan and his staff treated me excellent during my first two trips to Oxford and the fans there are great. I had one of the fastest cars and led a bunch of laps both years I ran the TD Bank 250 for Steve Perry and SP2 Motorsports, but we weren’t able to seal the deal. This year we decided to bring our own KBM Toyota Camry’s. Hopefully, the third time will be the charm.”
