Front Row Motorsports will feature the message, “One Text or Call, Could Wreck it All” on the hood of David Ragan’s No. 34 Front Row Motorsports Ford at Chicagoland Speedway this weekend. The entry will also carry the logos of www.Distraction.gov – The Official U.S. Government Website for Distracted Driving.
“When I’m on the racetrack, I give 100% of my attention to my driving,” said Ragan. “It’s important to stay focused on the road, whether you are on the racetrack or the interstate. Distracted driving injures and kills far too many people each year – particularly young people. I encourage teens and their parents to visit Distraction.gov, take the safe driving pledge, and learn more about the dangers of driving distracted.”
In 2010, over 400,000 people were injured in accidents involving a distracted driver. Distracted driving includes: using a cell phone or smartphone, eating and drinking, talking to passengers, grooming, reading- including maps, using a navigation system, watching a video and adjusting a radio, CD player or MP3 player.
David Ragan has finished in the top-25 in each of his five career starts at Chicagoland Speedway, including a career-best finish of eighth.
