StarCom Racing partners up with Team Fox, the grassroots community fundraising program of The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, and former NASCAR Driver Sterling Marlin for the #NASCARThrowback Bojangles’ Southern 500 Race at Darlington Raceway on Sunday, September 1. In 1998, Marlin drove the #40 Coors Light silver bullet Chevy. He later went onto win his final career victory in 2002 in the same scheme. In 2012, Marlin publicly announced his diagnosis with Parkinson’s Disease. This hasn’t kept the career racer out of the seat; Marlin is back behind the wheel of his #14 Late Model Chevrolet this weekend at Nashville Speedway where he is two wins away from being the track’s winningest driver.
“So cool Landon is running that scheme. I’ve always thought that was one of the prettiest cars out there and was my favorite scheme to run. It’s great they teamed up with the Fox Foundation as well. Give’em Hell Landon!” – Sterling Marlin
In Addition to the partnership, StarCom Racing’s online store will be selling the attached Throwback T-Shirt, $5 of each purchased Throwback Tee will be donated to The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
