NASCAR Responds to the Passing of Dr. Mattioli

Talladega Superspeedway Chairman Grant Lynch Statement on Passing of Dr. Joe Mattioli:

 

“Doc Mattioli was a good friend of mine and he was true patriarch in our sport for many years.  He cared for Pocono Raceway, its staff and its fans like a proud father.  NASCAR will certainly miss his presence.  My deepest sympathies are with the Mattioli family and friends during this difficult time.”
