Brian Vickers It’s Tax Season, And It’s Time To Act

Tax season is upon us, and it coincides with the seventh race of the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth.

There, Brian Vickers will make his third consecutive start in the No. 14 Chevrolet SS for Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) as he continues to sub for regular driver Tony Stewart, who is temporarily out of the car with a back injury. Saturday night’s Duck Commander 500 at the 1.5-mile oval will be Vickers’ fifth overall start in the No. 14 car this season, as he has shared the ride with rookie Ty Dillon.

Adorning Vickers’ car will be TaxAct, the leading provider of affordable digital and download tax preparation solutions. Last month, the company announced that all active-duty military and reservists can file both their federal and state taxes for free, whether they have simple or complex returns. Service members can use any of TaxAct’s online products to file easy, fast and free and get their maximum guaranteed refund this tax season. Military members and reservists will have access to all of TaxAct’s solutions, including TaxAct Online Premium Bundle, which is comprised of all e-fileable federal forms for individual returns as well as free state returns. Free federal and state filing with TaxAct is available through April 18, 2016, this year’s filing deadline.

Appropriately, the No. 14 TaxAct Military Files Free Chevrolet takes to the track with less than two weeks before the filing deadline.

“Active duty military and reservists make the ultimate commitment to serve and protect each of us. While small in comparison to all our military members do for us, free tax filing is one way TaxAct can say thank you for their service,” said TaxAct President JoAnn Kintzel.

“Our military men and women have enough on their plates without having to worry about paying high prices to file their taxes. This weekend in Texas we’ll run a special paint scheme to get the word out so everyone eligible can file their state and federal taxes for free and get their guaranteed maximum refund,” Vickers said.

All TaxAct products guide military filers through an easy interview to help them identify opportunities for credits and deductions, allowing them to file their taxes with ease and accuracy. Military members and reservists simply need to enter their military EIN to qualify for free federal and state return filing. This offer applies to TaxAct Online products only. Service men and women can visit to start their free returns.

TaxAct has been a partner of SHR since 2015, with TaxAct adorning the No. 10 Chevrolet of SHR driver Danica Patrick in several races. Patrick will join Vickers, along with team owner Stewart, in victory lane at Texas Motor Speedway on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. CDT to unveil the No. 14 TaxAct Military Files Free Chevrolet. Vickers will also hold a press availability in the deadline room of Texas’ infield media center at 2 p.m. CDT on Thursday.

Having begun his Texas race weekend in victory lane, Vickers would like nothing more than to end his weekend in the same spot. Based on past performance in the Lone Star State, Vickers could be a dark horse favorite to take the checkered flag Saturday night. He owns top-10 finishes in two of the last three races at Texas with a total of 17 career Sprint Cup starts on the fast oval. Vickers also won the pole for the November 2006 race with a lap of 196.235 mph.
