Elko Speedway Event will Feature Allmendinger/Richard Petty/Marcos Ambrose

In a year when more soldiers have been sent overseas than any year since 1965, five prominent Minnesota companies, eight NASCAR drivers, two NASCAR icons, the U.S. Air Force plus more Minnesota Military representatives and thousands of Minnesota race fans will come together on Thursday, Oct. 6 at Elko Speedway with one common goal:  To raise money to support the The Minnesota Military Families Foundation.

Two years ago 3M, Best Buy, Elko Speedway, General Mills and Great Clips came together to promote NASCAR Racing in their own Minnesota community. When the report was made that more than 3,400 military personnel enlisted during the summer of 2011, together these Minnesota corporations determined that the second annual ‘Minnesota Motorsports Gives Back’ event will not only support Minnesota military families, it will also be family friendly! The Oct. 6 event feature NASCAR drivers and icons along with various activities and racing entertainment with the guarantee of giving 100 percent of the ticket and events sales back to Minnesota Military Families Foundation.

As each fan awaits the arrival of AJ Allmendinger (Best Buy), Trevor Bayne, Greg Biffle (3M), Clint Bowyer (General Mills), Erik Darnell, Jason Leffler (Great Clips), Richard Petty, Jack Roush, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., and Miss Sprint Cup they will be greeted with a merchandise stuffed gift bag (first 500 and VIP), free Great Clips haircuts, U.S. Air Force Chin-up Competition, and much more. When the drivers arrive they will be positioned along the Elko Speedway concourse and fans will have the opportunity to get their favorite driver’s autograph and picture next to the driver’s show car.

Besides ticket sales, there will also be United States Military themed fundraisers on site for additional contributions including make your own dog-tags, Post-It United States Flag Wall, Commemorative T-shirts, NASCAR/Minnesota Motorsports Gives Back/Ford Racing Camouflage bracelets and much more!

All tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children 5-12 years old and include admission, general autograph and Q & A Session, activities on the concourse; the exhibition race and the first 500 people receive a gift bag. VIP tickets are $35 and include guaranteed autographs from 10 NASCAR drivers/icons, Q & A Session, gift bag and the exhibition race. Anyone who displays their military identification will be admitted into VIP for only $15 (up to 400 people). 100 percent of all ticket sales will go directly to the Minnesota Military Families Foundation.
